FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 1, 2026

Ground Rules Announces "GO" — A Garden City Originals Burger Series for National Burger Month.

GARDEN CITY, ID — Ground Rules, the new burger and sports bar from restaurateur Scott Slater, today announced the launch of GO (Garden City Originals), a limited-edition burger series running through the month of May in honor of National Burger Month. The series features four chef-driven burgers, each available for two weeks only, drawing on local Idaho ingredients, regional traditions, and the kind of wild-card creativity Ground Rules has built its menu around.

The first release in the GO series, The Boise Burnoff, drops May 5 — a double smash with smoked Tillamook cheddar, candied jalapeño, crispy potato sticks, and a bourbon BBQ sauce made with locally distilled Idaho rye. The remaining drops will be revealed weekly through @groundrulesgc on social media and to House Rules loyalty members in advance.

About the GO Series

The GO program is intended to spotlight Garden City — its makers, its growers, its independent spirit — and to bring something new to the burger conversation in the Treasure Valley. "Garden City has its own thing going on, and Boise as a whole is one of the best food cities most people don't know about yet," said Slater. "GO is our way of leaning into that — local first, original always, and absolutely no throwaways."
